At Key Stage 5, we currently follow the Level 3 diploma in Criminology which is worth the equivalent of one A level and is graded A*-E.  It has been designed to offer exciting and  interesting experiences through applied learning, i.e. through the acquisition of knowledge and understanding in purposeful contexts linked to the criminal justice system. It covers aspect of a wide range of social sciences including: Sociology, Law, Psychology, Citizenship, History and Humanities.

50% of the course is assessed through controlled assessment (coursework) which students will complete in controlled conditions based on briefs (one in year 12 and one in year 13) as set by the exam board.  Students have eight lessons a fortnight and are co-taught by two teachers who share responsibility preparing students for their coursework and examinations over the two year course.
