Overview
At Key Stage 5, we follow the AQA Business syllabus (7131/7132). By taking a holistic approach to the subject, we demonstrate the interrelated nature of business using business models, theories and techniques to support analysis of contemporary business issues and situations. The syllabus content is designed to engage students through topics and issues that are relevant in today’s society; students will study key contemporary developments such as digital technology, and business ethics and globalisation, as well as classical business theories such as those of Taylor and Mayo. Throughout KS5, a central focus is on developing and enhancing examination skills at level 3. Students have approximately nine lessons per fortnight taught by Mrs Watts.
