Autumn Term Newsletter

The theme for our Autumn Term newsletter is The Power of Team Spirit and we hope this issue gives a flavour of how as a school community we have shown resilience, determination, creativity, care and above all teamwork in the face of the pandemic, since we returned to school in September.

Please click on the image below to download our latest school newsletter.  Whilst enjoying the festivities at home we hope you can spare a minute to read and catch up on some of the exciting activities and ‘virtual’ events that have been happening at Queen’s Park High School over the last term.

Featured in this latest edition we reveal who has been announced as a finalist for ‘Governor of the Year’ in the North West Educate Awards; how our Year 7 students have risen to ‘The Queen’s Park Gambit’ chess challenge; whether washing line maths can make you an expert at algebra, how our new Year 7 students have settled into high school life; whether our Sixth Form chemists have mastered titration and if Year 13 can build their own battery; why there was a red convoy of Queen’s Park High School Santas dashing round Chester; how the Learn to Row Programme encouraged Year 8 students to have an ‘oar’some time on the river and we unveil the new school PE uniform! Plus, we discover a community of writers in Year 7, celebrate creativity in art and design, learn about glaciation with chocolate bars in geography and why conflict and tension is firing the minds of GCSE history students!

Happy reading!
