GCSE Results 2023

Queen’s Park High School are once again thrilled to be celebrating their students’ successful GCSE results. The hard work and commitment that Year 11 have demonstrated during their studies has paid off and they should all be incredibly proud of their achievements.

Whilst, national data indicates a downward trend in outcomes across the country post-Covid, the ‘Class of 2023’ at Queen’s Park have excelled, with 25% of students being awarded grades 9-7 (A*-A). Outcomes in the core subjects continue to improve year on year with 37% of students achieving grades 9-7 in English, 20% achieving grades 9-7 in maths and more students than ever achieving at least two 9-5 grades in a science qualification.

All students are celebrating their own personal journeys with the following students achieving outstanding academic results across their GCSEs:

  • Aaron Mohun – Six grade 9s and three grade 8s
  • Amelie Privat – Four grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 7
  • Matthew Hunt – Four grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 7
  • Jake Spaven – Four grade 9s, three grade 8s, one grade 7 and one grade 5

“I am so pleased that our students have once again performed extremely well and achieved sets of qualifications which will open doors to the next stage in their education and careers. I am proud that their efforts and commitment have paid off. Furthermore, this wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and commitment of the staff at Queen’s Park, alongside the incredible support we receive from our parents. Thank you!

I am overjoyed, so many of our students are continuing their studies within our sixth form, however I would also like to wish those who are moving onto external education and employment the very best of luck and hope they keep us informed of their future endeavours. Take care!”

Mr Kearns, headteacher

“I feel really privileged to have worked with such a motivated and determined year group, many of whom have overcome personal challenges along the way. Their hard work and desire to be successful has allowed them to reap the benefits and we hope they will be celebrating their achievements tonight with their friends and families. Well done to a really lovely bunch of students many of whom we look forward to seeing back with us in September.”
