Young Writers

Year 7 students' short stories get published!

We are proud to announce that Year 7 students: Charlotte Hunt, Evan Miller and Healy Smyth are officially authors! This June, their short stories were published and printed by the Young Writers company, having being selected out of hundreds of students across the UK.

In March our budding Year 7 writers submitted their own short stories to this year's Young Writers competition, which aims to encourage young people across the UK to engage in creative writing and share their outstanding work. The students took on the ambitious challenge of writing a mystery-crime narrative in only 100 words! We are absolutely thrilled to find out that three of these stories have been selected for publication and can now be read in the Young Writers book entitled 'Case Files Unsolved - The Chase is on'.

Here at Queen's Park High School, we strive to inspire individuals, empower minds and define futures by encouraging our students to take part in character building, skill developing, and life changing opportunities such as this. And thus, we are incredibly proud to celebrate our budding writers for taking up the challenge! A massive congratulations to Charlotte, Evan and Healy! Keep up the great work!
