Newsletter - Autumn Term

The latest edition of our school newsletter is out now and can be viewed by clicking on the image below.

We hope you enjoy catching up on some of the exciting activities and events that have been happening at Queen’s Park High School over the last term.

The theme for this issue is ‘Empowering Young Minds’ and we hope it gives a flavour of how as a school community we have shown resilience, determination, teamwork, creativity and above all care, since we returned to school in September.

Featured in this latest edition we showcase the Rivers of the World art project which our Year 7 students took part in as part of the British Council’s ‘Connecting Classroom’ initiative; we say ‘Hello Yellow’ for world Mental Health Day and fundraise for charity with some remarkable runs for Cancer. Find out how our new Year 7 students have settled into high school life; whether our Sixth Form chemists can make aspirin and how to make balloon rockets and bionic hands in STEM Club. We also reveal our new school production for February 2022; shine a light on sporting achievements, including some ’oar’some successes for the rowing club.

Plus, we celebrate creativity in art and design, how to be a global citizen in geography and uncover students' pen pal scheme with a school in Spain. There’s a feature on industry insights including the Year 11's careers day, a spotlight on inspirational maths and so much more…

So, sit back and get caught reading!
