STEM Clubs Week 22-26 June

Next week we are supporting STEM learning and celebrating STEM Clubs Week. During Monday 22nd - Friday 26th June 2020 there is a free online event with a packed timetable of fun activities, challenges, career talks, webinars and YouTube sessions for students and their families.

Sustainability

The theme of the week is sustainability and there will be talks, challenges and case studies focused on sustainability topics such as clean air, sustainable energy etc. delivered by Design Club and a fantastic range of STEM Ambassadors; plus webinars delivered by STEM Club Champions and Practical Action. Science writer and children's author Isabel Thomas shares her experiences from eco-engineering clubs in primary schools and there will be a virtual panel discussion with leading members of the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration, speaking about careers, Antarctic investigations, and topics ranging from climate science and extreme engineering to environmental sustainability and resilience.

How can I get involved?

Each day a different area of sustainability will be covered; clean air, water and sanitation, sustainable energy, sustainable food, sustainable materials and construction. Everyone is welcome to participate in this exciting programme of events, aimed at inspiring and igniting imaginations in young people.

Follow Stem Club Week on on Twitter #STEMClubsWeek and join them on the day via YouTube.
