SCHOOL UNIFORM (for students in Years 7 – 11)

The uniform here is simple, straightforward, inexpensive and smart. It shows students they belong. We want students to have pride in their appearance and come to school each morning with the correct uniform. This includes:

Navy blue or black trousers (not jeans)/skirt (appropriate length and style for school)

Plain white shirt

Navy blue QPHS “V”- neck sweatshirt (Yr7)

or navy blue QPHS sweatshirt/pullover/cardigan (Yr8 – 11)

School tie (available from school)

Plain black, grey, navy or white socks

Black shoes* (No trainers or trainer style shoes are allowed)

No make-up or nail varnish

ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR NAME

Kit for Games/PE

The following items are compulsory for both boys and girls.  

Navy Blue Football Shorts

Navy Blue Polo Shirt

Navy Blue Football socks

Training shoes 

Football boots are required for outdoor football/rugby

Shin pads for football and hockey

The following items are optional for cold weather:

Navy Blue Rugby Shirt

QPHS Rain Jacket

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING       

Protective clothing is provided in Design Technology whenever necessary and protective eye shields and safety spectacles are provided in science when needed.

jewellery

Students should not come to school wearing any jewellery other than a watch.  In some areas of the school wearing jewellery is dangerous and experience suggests that it is often difficult to keep secure.  If students have pierced ears, they may wear one small plain stud in each earlobe. No other piercings are allowed.  Hooped earrings are not acceptable.  If students ignore this guideline, they will have their jewellery confiscated by a member of staff who will place items in a sealed envelope for them to collect from the Student Reception at 2.30pm on the Friday of the following week.
